Wish List Items: Guerlain Météorites Perles and Guerlain Météorites Voyage Powder

As many of you know, I’m an avid reader of Temptalia—in fact, I actually got the idea to blog about makeup from her. If you frequent her site as well, you’d notice how often she raves about Guerlain’s products and collections. I used to shrug this off because I was only concerned with MAC, NARS, Tarte, Benefit, and Urban Decay’s products, but I’ve been trying out new brands lately (such as Laura Mercier) and all the posts on Guerlain products finally got to me… most especially the ones about the ubiquitous Guerlain Météorites.

The Guerlain Météorites sparked my curiosity, partly because the packaging was beautiful and I remember playing around with a similar Météorites-like blush my mom had when I was younger (I’m not sure if that was Bare Escentuals or Guerlain itself), but mostly because Christine of Temptalia calls it “Photoshop in her pocket.” Now, who doesn’t want that!? 😆

Wish List Item: Laura Mercier Artist’s Palette for Eyes

As a self-professed makeup junkie, I’m also a lipstick addict, a blush fiend, and in general a cosmetic hoarder, but I have never EVER been an eye makeup aficionado… frankly because: (1) I think I would already be overly made up for school if I wore a full makeup look (eye makeup’s the only article of makeup I don’t regularly wear), and (2) since I really don’t get to practice putting on eye makeup, I’m pretty clueless with eyeshadow (but I can put eyeliner and mascara on pretty well, if that even requires any skill at all LOL).

I’ve always wanted that to change for artistic reasons, though, and this absolutely lovely Laura Mercier Artist’s Palette for Eyes gives me more reason to do so (also partly because I don’t want my Urban Decay eyeshadow palettes to go to waste)..! 😆

Wish List Item: MAC Stroke of Midnight Lip Bag in Violet

Some time around mid-2011, I bought my very first own MAC lipstick. I was merely 17 then, and I felt as if I already took a huge step towards womanhood because of my lovely lipstick in R… ehhhh. I’ll make a separate blog post about that later. Suspense. 😉

…anyway! Even though I started collecting MAC lipsticks beginning that purchase, I remained completely clueless about limited edition collections and shades until a long period of time after—I mean, I knew they released new shades every now and then, but I had no idea so many of them were coveted by makeup junkies worldwide because of the extremely limited time they were available for public consumption! Talk about hot commodity! A few years ago I probably would have mocked the superficiality of such an obsession, but I certainly am not in the place to do that now. 🙄
